Two Football Meccas

Buenos Aires & Montevideo

10 Nights

Fri 20th February 2026 - Mon 2nd March 2026

Price from £2,495

Discover the unique South American football culture in the two capital cities of Argentina and Uruguay.  Buenos Aires and Montevideo are two football Meccas bursting with football history, unrivalled culture and some of the most iconic stadiums in the world.  After British workers introduced the game in the late 19th century the locals wasted no time in taking the game to their hearts with Uruguay hosting and winning the inaugural World Cup in 1930.  Argentina had to wait until 1978 to land the FIFA World Cup Trophy when they controversially hosted the tournament whilst under the brutal control of the fascist military junta.  The match day atmosphere in both of these cities is often described as a carnival with noise from brass bands and the colour of pyro and huge ribbons.  This 10 night fully escorted tour is the perfect opportunity to discover the incredible football culture of these two stunning cities.
